HORNET MEN FINISH SIXTH AT BORDER STATES
October 11, 2008-Competing without top runner Skyler Delmott and their number two runner on the season Marcus Summers, the Emporia State men’s cross country team placed sixth at the Border States Invitational in Edwardsville, Ill.
Katie Mona led the ESU women with an eighth place finish as the Hornets placed 11th as a team.
Skyler Delmott sat out the meet to train for the MIAA Championships in two weeks. Summers was out with and illness. Skyler’s brother, Asher Delmott was the top finisher for the ESU men in 22nd place.
The next action for the Hornets will be the MIAA Championships on October 25 in Warrensburg, Mo.
