ESU MEN'S TEAM REGIONALLY RANKED

September 26, 2007-The Emporia State men’s cross country team jumped into the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Men’s South Central Regional Rankings this week. The Hornet men are ranked #5 in this week’s ranking. The ESU women are not ranked.

Seven of the eight MIAA schools that run cross country are ranked on the men’s side, while six of the eight women’s teams are ranked regionally. Three MIAA women’s teams are ranked in the top 16 nationally with five teams from the region in the national rankings.

The Hornets will play host to the ESU/Jock’s Nitch Invitational this Friday, September 28 in Emporia’s Jones Park. The women will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the men to follow at approximately 5:30 p.m.
