#15 LADY HORNETS CRACK CENTURY MARK AGAIN

November 16, 2008-Tournament MVP Ida Edwards had a game high 16 rebounds and 10 points as the #15 Lady Hornets defeated Tabor 103-44 in the final game of the Lady Hornet Classic in White Auditorium on Sunday. Edwards was one of five Lady Hornets in double figures as ESU topped the century mark for the 40th time under head coach Brandon Schneider.

ESU started the game with a 20-0 run and did not allow Tabor to score until the 12:43 mark of the first half. The Lady Hornets led 62-15 at the half and their lead would grow to 63 at 85-22 with 13:14 remaining in the game.

Edwards was joined in double figures by Alli Volkens with 15, Cassondra Boston with 14 points, Lacy Corker with 13 and Jamie Augustyn with 16 points. Corker had nine of ESU's 30 assists on the night. Volkens added eight rebounds and a career high five blocked shots.

In earlier tournament action Avila outscored Ft. Hays State 44-28 in the second half of a 71-66 victory.

The Lady Hornets will be back in action on Wednesday, Nov. 19 against Newman. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. in White Auditorium.
