#10 Lady Hornets Fall at TAMU-Kingsville
November 29, 2008-The Lady Hornets had 27 turnovers that led to 13 Javelina points in a 79-70 loss to TAMU-Kingsville on Saturday in Kingsville, Texas. The Lady Hornets led 46-27 with 15:00 left in the second half only to see the Javelinas go on a 26-6 run. ESU had five turnovers and wnet one for seven from the field during the run.
TAMUK would push their lead to ten points before ESU closed to within five at 68-63 with 1:45 left. The Javelinas would then convert nine of ten free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
Alli Volkens had 17 points, ten rebounds and four blocks to lead ESU and was joined in double figures by Cassondra Boston with 17 and Ida Edwards with 13 points.
The Lady Hornets are back in action on Wednesday, Dec. 3 when they open MIAA play against Northwest Missouri. Tip-off from White Auditorium is set for 5:30 p.m. All fans that turn in a cell phone at the gate will receive $1 off their ticket price.
