#10 LADY HORNETS USE BIG SECOND HALF TO EARN WIN
January 7, 2009-Emporia State shot .615 from the field in the second half and scored 56 points in an 83-70 win over Missouri Southern on Wednesday night in White Auditorium. The #10 Lady Hornets used a 17-4 run in the second half to take the lead for good.
Cassondra Boston scored a season high 26 points to lead all scorers. Ida Edwards added 15 points, eight rebounds and four blocks while Sophia Lenard tossed in 17 points for ESU. Jolea Apon scored 18 points off the bench to lead MSSU.
The Lady Hornets will travel to Pittsburg State on Saturday for their next action. Tip-off from Lance Arena is set for 5:30 p.m.
