November 7, 2008-Emporia State’s Ida Edwards had 19 points but Kansas State scored 26 points off Lady Hornet turnovers in an 89-57 victory for the Wildcats in Manhattan on Friday night.
K-State hit eight of 15 three pointers after converting just four of 21 in their first exhibition game.
Edwards was joined in double figures by Cassondra Boston with 12 points and five assists.
The Lady Hornets, ranked #15 in the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Preseason Poll, will be back in exhibition action on Tuesday, Nov. 11 against Friends in White Auditorium. ESU will open the season on Nov. 15 against Avila in the Lady Hornet Classic.
