#15 EMPORIA STATE ROLLS OVER FRIENDS
November 11, 2008-The #15 Emporia State women's basketball team jumped out to a 28-3 lead and never looked back in a 116-31 exhibition victory over Friends at White Auditorium on Tuesday night.
Cassondra Boston led all scorers with 21 points on seven of seven shooting from behind the arc. Sophia Lenard and Jamie Augustyn each scored 17 and Ida Edwards added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Lady Hornets. Lacy Corker had nine of ESU's 33 assists on the night.
ESU led 57-14 at the half and cracked the 100 point mark with 6:49 left.
Emporia State starts the season for real on Saturday against Avila in the Lady Hornet Classic. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. following the Ft. Hays State game with Tabor in White Auditorium.
