#9 LADY HORNETS PULL OUT 83-72 WIN AT TRUMAN
December 29, 2008-The #9 Emporia State Lady Hornets used back to back to back three pointers to cap an 11-4 run on their way to an 83-72 win at Truman on Monday night.
Cassondra Boston had 21 points, six rebounds and three assists to lead four Lady Hornets in double figures. She was joined by Ida Edwards with 16 points, seven rebounds and three blocks, Andrea Leiker with 16 points, five rebounds and three steals and Sophia Lenard with 12 points and four steals.
ESU trailed 45-43 at the half as TSU connected on seven of 12 first half three pointers but did not attempt a trey in the second half.
The Lady Hornets are back in action on Wednesday night against Neb.-Omaha. Tip-off for the New Year's Eve showdown is set for 5:30 p.m. in White Auditorium.
