February 1, 2009-Emporia State got a career high 23 points from Tim Niles as they snapped a three game losing skid with an 87-63 victory over Truman on Sunday in White Auditorium. ESU used a 20-2 run in the second half to take control for their 14th win of the season to match last year's win total.
In addition to Niles 23, the Hornets got double figure scoring from Robert Moores with 19, Lamar Wilbern with 13 and Adam Holthaus with 11 points.
ESU returns to action on Wednesday when they play host to Central Missouri. The Hornets trail the Mules by two games in the MIAA standings. Tip-off from White Auditorium is set for 7:30 p.m.
