HORNETS FALL TO #3 SOUTHWEST BAPTIST

January 3, 2009-Emporia State's Lamar Wilbern scored 21 points but ESU could not overcome seven Bearcats in double figures in a 104-69 Southwest Baptist victory in White Auditorium.

SBU was led by Nick Kovacevich with 16 points as seven Bearcats reached double figures.

ESU is back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 7 against #10 Missouri Southern. Tip-off from White Auditorium is set for 7:30 p.m.

NOTES:
It was the first time ESU had given up 100 points at home since a 108-102 double overtime loss to Northwest Missouri in the 2006-07 season and the first time ESU has given up 100 points at home in regulation since a 101-79 loss to SBU in 1993-94.
