December 10, 2008-The Emporia State men hit a season high 18 three-pointers as they defeated Central Christian 107-51 on Wednesday night in White Auditorium. ESU led by as much as 59 at one point in the second half and hit .600 percent from the floor on the night. For ESU it was their largest victory since knocking off Vennard 105-33 in 2004-05.
Jeremiah Box had 20 points to lead four Hornets in double figures, but was the only starter to reach double figures. Robert Moores had 17 points and ten assists off the bench for his first career double-double. Tim Niles added 14 points and Alex Pyle had 12 points on four three pointers.
The Hornets return to MIAA play on Saturday when they travel to Central Missouri. Tip-off from the Multipurpose Building is set for 8 p.m..
