HORNET MEN MOVE TO 2-0 AT HOME
November 29, 2008-Shang Ping scored a career high 19 points with nine rebounds as Emporia State defeated Benedictine 95-42 in White Auditorium on Saturday evening. As a team ESU shot .522 from the field and .440 from behind the three-point line.
After the Ravens scored the first points of the game, the Hornets went on a 21-4 run to take control of the game. The lead never dropped below double digits and ESU would lead by as many as 47 points on the night.
ESU will open MIAA play on Wednesday, Dec. 3 when they take on Northwest Missouri in a rematch of last year's MIAA Tournament Championship game. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. in White Auditorium. Fans that donate a cell phone at the game will receive $1 off the price of their ticket.
