HORNETS OPEN EXHIBITION SEASON WITH LOSS AT WSU
November 10, 2008-Emporia State used a 16-5 run to cut a Wichita State lead to
six points, but the Shockers pulled away in the end for a 71-58 exhibition
victory in Koch Arena in Wichita on Monday night.
Lamar Wilbern led all scorers with 17 points and added nine rebounds for the Hornets. He was joined in double figures by MAtt Boswell with 15 points and Robert Moores with ten.
The Hornets are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to defending national champion Kansas. Tip-off from White Auditorium is set for 7 p.m.
