HORNET MEN FALL TO #5 SBU
February 10, 2009-Emporia State outscored #5 Southwest Baptist 48-42 in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overcome a 17 point halftime deficit in an 81-70 loss in Bolivar, Mo.
Tim Niles led ESU with 18 points off the bench while Robert Moores added 15 and Lamar Wilbern chipped in 12 points. Matt Rogers led SBU with a career high 37 points.
ESU is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Missouri Southern. Tip-off from the Leggett & Platt Center in Joplin, Mo. is set for 7:30 p.m.
