HORNET MEN FALL TO WASHBURN IN MIAA TOURNAMENT
March 5, 2009-Emporia State was outscored by 20 points from the free throw line in an 88-82 loss to Washburn in the first round of the MIAA Tournament in Kansas City, Mo.
Robert Moores scored a career high 31 points for ESU in the loss. Lamar Wilbern added 16 points and was joined in double figures by Jeremiah Box with 13 and Adam Holthaus with 10 points.
ESU ends their season at 18-10.
