January 16, 2008-Emporia State hit ten of 12 free throws in the final 1:35 to secure a 67-57 win over Truman on Wednesday night in White Auditorium. Wes Book and DeAndre Townsend each scored 15 points and Caleb Tegtmeier added 14 as ESU evened their record at 7-7 on the year.
ESU led by one, 26-25 at the half and outscored the Bulldogs 41-32 in the second half to improve to 6-2 in White Auditorium this year. In the first half the Hornets outshot the Bulldogs .357 to .333. The Hornets led by six at one time in the half but went to the break leading 26-25. ESU forced 10 Bulldog turnovers while only turning the ball over six times themselves.

The Hornets will begin a two game road trip on Saturday at Central Missouri. Tip-off from the Multipurpose Building is set for 3:30 p.m.
