HORNET MEN FALL IN SEASON FINALE

March 1, 2008-Andrew Davison's three pointer at the buzzer just missed as Emporia State fell to MIAA champion Southwest Baptist 82-79 on Saturday afternoon. The Hornets and Bearcats will meet again on Friday in the first round of the MIAA Tournament at 12 noon in Kansas City, Mo.

DeAndre Townsend led ESU with a double-double of 18 points and 12 assists as he passed the 1,000 point mark in his career.  Marvin Lee led ESU in scoring with 20 points and seven boards.Matt Rogers led all scorers with 26 points and 11 rebounds for SBU.
