#23 HORNETS KNOCK OFF FRIENDS
November 19, 2007--Wes Book scored 24 points and DeAndre Townsend added 19 as #23 ESU defeated Friends 91-66 on Monday night in White Auditorium.
The Hornets outscored the Falcons 41-26 in the second half to go to 2-0 on the season. Friends outshot ESU .625 to .531 from the field in the first half, yet the Hornets still led 50-40 at the break.
Book led ESU in rebounding with eightwhile Townsend dished seven assists. Matt Boswell reached double figures for ESU with 10 points. Justin Rone had 27 points for Friends after scoring 24 in the first half.
The Hornets will take on Midwestern State, a 2007 NCAA Tournament team, on Saturday night in Emporia. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. in White Auditorium.
