HORNETS FALL TO WU 76-58
February 23, 2008 -- The Hornets fell on the road in Topeka on Saturday to Washburn 76-58 in MIAA play. The Hornets trailed by only three points at the half after outshoting the Ichabods .458 to .419 in the opening frame. Washburn shot .789 from the line on the night connecting on 15 of 19 while the Hornets shot .586 hitting 17 of 29 shots from the line.
DeAndre Townsend and Wes Book both finished the game with 12 points each. Caleb Tegtmeier and Andrew Davison also finished in double figures adding ten points each.
The Hornets will travel to Truman for the final game of a three game road trip on Wednesday. The Hornets will then close out the regular season with Senior Day against Southwest Baptist on Saturday, March 1.
