January 23, 2008- Missouri Southern used an 18-3 second half run to blow open a 85-66 win over Emporia State on Wednesday night in Joplin, Mo.
Andrew Davison had 17 points and was the only Hornet in double figures. DeAndre Townsend had nine points and six assists for ESU. Jordan Fithian also added nine points before fouling out in the second half.
The Hornets had three players foul out and played without starting guard Wes Book who missed the game with a foot injury and could miss up to four weeks.
ESU is back in action on Sunday, January 27 against Missouri Western. Tip-off for the rare Sunday matinee is set for 1:30 p.m. in White Auditorium.
