March 6, 2008 -- The Hornets scored their first four runs with only one hit and didn't look back notching an 8-3 win over Washburn. The Hornets scored their eight runs on six hits as ESU earned nine free passes in the ballgame.
Brock Nehls pitched seven strong innings striking out the side twice on his way to 12 strikeouts in the ballgame. Ty Reese came on to pitch the final two innings striking out one and only allowing two hits.
Nick Wolfe was two for four with three RBI and Nick Carlson reached base in every at-bat and scored two runs for ESU.
The Hornets will face Minnesota-Duluth in a double header on Saturday, March 8 at 12 noon from Glennen Field in Trusler Sports Complex.
