#14 ESU FALLS TO #10 CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
February 19, 2008 -- The #14 Hornet baseball team fell to #10 Central Oklahoma 19-5 on Tuesday in Edmond, Okla. ESU jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning and got to within a run at 6-5 in the fifth before the Bronchos scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. ESU was out hit 23-11 in the ball game.
Senior catcher Keith Hernandez hit his second home run of the season and drove in three runs in the game. Brian Majors went two for four and scored two of the Hornet runs and drove in another. Matt Marasco had the other Hornet RBI his sixth of the season.
The Hornets will next be at home for games with North Dakota and Mary this weekend Feb. 22-24.
