UNO ELIMINATES MSU
UNO 6, MSU 5
Emporia, Kan.
May 17, 2008 -- The Mavericks of the Nebraska-Omaha eliminted MSU as the two teams met for the eighth time this season with a 6-5 win. MSU outhit UNO 12-8 in a game that saw three homr runs and nine extra base hits.
Chris Weimer hit his third home run of the regional tournament. For MSU Danny Miller homered and drove in two runs. Tim Huber went all nine to pick up his ninth win of the season. Jim Dale pitched 7.2 innings and fell to 5-3 on the season.
The UNO Mavericks will now face Emporia State in an elimination game scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
