UCM WINS BATTLE OF THE UNBEATENS

Emporia, Kan.
May 16, 2008 -- The #23 Central Missouri Mules knocked off the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks 13-8 in the game six of the 2008 Division II Central Regional in Emporia, Kan. The Mules outhit the Mavs 14-8 and put up five runs over their final two innings as they put the game away after UNO came back from five runs behind.
At the plate for Nebraska-Omaha Chris Weimer went three for five with a grand slam and five RBI. Ryan Hines earned the loss moving to 4-2 on the season. For the Mules Iain Dykins went three for five with three RBI while Mike Hallam and Chris Brown each added two RBI.
The Mules will face Emporia State in the 12 noon game tomorrow as the two teams will meet for the seventh time this season. Nebraska-Omaha will face Minnesota State in the 3:30 game as the two teams will meet for the eighth time this season.
