MINNESOTA STATE ELIMINATES CONCORDIA ST. PAUL

May 16, 2008 -- The Minnesota State Mavericks eliminated the Concordia St. Paul Golden Bears with a 6-0 victory in the 2008 Division II Central Regional. Matt Mathiowetz for the Mavericks pitched a three-hit shutout striking out eight in a complete game performance.
At the plate for MSU Danny Miller went three for four with three runs driven in on a home run in the fourth inning. Zach Danelson went two for three with an RBI for the Mavs. Jake Schmidt struck out seven over five innings for the Golden Bears.
