Shane Shivley
Associate Director of Athletics for External Affairs
Shane Shivley is in his sixth year with the Emporia State Athletic Department. Promoted to Associate Athletic Director in August of 2006, Shivley directs and manages all income generating activities for the athletic department. This includes supervision of the marketing and ticket offices.
Under his supervision the Hornets have spearheaded campaigns to construct the Hanna Baseball/Softball Clubhouse, Jones Field Super Turf, the resurfacing of the Witten Track, a remodel of the Basketball Practice Facility, the addition of artificial turf on Glennen Field and new scoreboards at Glennen and Turnbull Fields at the Trusler Sports Complex.
Shivley has also led efforts to increasing the annual athletic giving each year of his tenure.
A native of Parsons, Kansas, Shivley earned a Bachelor’s degree in business from Emporia State in 2000 and his Master’s in Sport Administration from Wichita State in 2002.
He is married to the former Mary Decker. The couple are the proud parents of a daughter, Alexa and a son, Maddox.
