Welcome Hornets!
Welcome to the 2009-2010 academic year at Emporia State University! This year is going to be full of exciting and new opportunities for every member of our campus, our community, and our experience at ESU.
Over the summer, we’ve been working hard to provide you, the students, with great new services for the fall. Many activities and events have been planned for you for this next year, so make sure to get out there and have some fun!
We hope that you enjoy your experience and find your passion on campus with over 140 Recognized Student Organizations to get involved in. By combining experience with dedication, the members of ASG are here to serve the students of Emporia State by being the voices and representation for you here on campus and across the state.
Make the most out of the time you have at ESU, because it goes by fast, and before you know it, you will be walking across the stage shaking President Lane’s hand and obtaining the piece of paper you have worked so hard for.
This year, ASG is focusing on bringing a sustainability initiative and making sure your concerns are heard. We want to see the needs of all students met and we will work to solve as many of these needs as possible. The Associated Student Government exists to serve. We feel the definition of service is to be proactive and diligent in our efforts to improve the quality of the students experience at Emporia State.
You may reach members of the Associated Student Government in the Center for Student Involvement office located on the Memorial Union Mainstreet, by phone at 341-5481, or e-mail at asgpres@emporia.edu. We welcome any concerns, comments, or questions you may have. Best of luck and success in your academics and student involvement!
It’s A Great Day to be a Hornet!
