      ELECTION COMMISSIONER

Job Requirements: The Election Commissioner duties will include but are not limited to, preparing all Associated Student Government election information for presidential, vice-presidential and senatorial candidates; distributing election regulations to candidates; making sure candidates uphold these regulations; administering fines when/if regulations are violated; helping to publicize elections; and encouraging all students to vote during the week of elections. The election commissioner will be expected to attend bi-weekly Senate meetings and weekly Cabinet meetings during employment period. The Election Commissioner will receive training from and work with the Graduate Advisor for Associated Student Government.

      EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT    

Job Requirements: Maintain a 2.0 GPA, except for first semester freshmen. Must be a full time student. Serve as the clerk of the student senate. Take minutes at all student senate meetings and publish those minutes for all members. Get minutes to ESU Printing Services for copying by the Monday following the ASG meeting. Serve as an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee. Serve as Historian for the ASG and direct questions to appropriate members of ASG. Report to the Vice-President. Complete tasks assigned by the President or Vice President of ASG. Manage and update the ASG website regularly. Direct questions to appropriate members of ASG. To provide overall office organization for the ASG section of the Center for Student Involvement.  Assist the Vice President on making changes to ASG Bulletin Boards as needed.

         LEGISLATIVE DIRECTOR

Job Requirements: Maintain a 2.0 GPA, except for first semester freshmen and be a full time student.   Attend the monthly Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) meetings with the ASG President, as well as the Students’ Advisory Committee (SAC) meetings held in Topeka, KS.  Transportation and lodging will be covered.  Attend the weekly Cabinet meetings of ASG with all other staff members and prepare a report pertaining to the political occurrences of local, state, and federal entities relative to ASG.  Attend the Pre-KBOR briefing sessions with the ASG President.  Attend the Post-KBOR de-briefing sessions as necessary.  Attend the monthly Eggs & Issues sessions held in Emporia, Kansas as needed.  Attend the Emporia Commission meetings as necessary.  Assist SAC in planning a state-wide lobbying day, known as Higher Education Day.  Assist the Legislative Director of ESU, Peter Brodie, in planning and executing a lobbying day specifically on behalf of ESU at the State Legislature.  Stay current on issues pertinent to ESU and ASG happening on the local, state, and federal levels of government.  Advise the ASG President and ASG Vice-President as needed regarding pertinent issues.  Stay in regular contact with all local delegations to the State Legislature.  Compile and present a bi-weekly update at regular ASG sessions.

      TREASURER

Job Requirements: Maintain a 2.0 GPA, except for first semester freshmen and be a full time student. Work with student organizations that have received funding to complete appropriate paperwork. Prepare packets of information for student organizations and university departments to alert them to funding opportunities. Serve as ex-officio member of the ASG Finance Committee. Report to the chair of the ASG Finance Committee. Work with the Senior Administrative Assistant of the CSI office to record expenditures of organizations receiving funds through ASG. Make periodic reports to ASG regarding the present standing of all organizations allocations. Coordinate the volunteer service program and log all hours reported by organizations. Coordinate and facilite the billing process for the Epson Poster Printer.  Work with the members of Community Hornets to keep updated records of all RSO community service hours.
