August - September Wayne Kimball
An exhibition of prints from the personal collection of Wayne Kimball, showcasing his talents as a master lithograph printer.
September - October COWGIRLS: Contemporary Portraits of the American West
Opening Reception : 6-8 pm on Tuesday, September 9
ESU Assistant Professor Joyce M. Thierer will perform Cattle Trails, an oral history profiling famous women from the Old West, during the opening reception at 7 pm.
This exhibition features 30 photographs accompanied by narrative quotes that reveal the complex, unglamorous -- yet often inspiring -- reality of women in the modern west.
A Program of ExhibitsUSA, a national division of Mid-America Arts Alliance with The Kansa Arts Commission and The National Endowment for the Arts.
November - December Annual ESU Faculty Exhibition
Opening Reception : 5-7 pm on Monday, November 3
This annual exhibition showcases the work of all current and emeritus Emporia State University Art Department faculty.
January - March Engraving Invitational Portfolio
Opening Reception : 5-7 pm on Tuesday, January 20
The Engraving Invitation Portfolio consists of 25 artists from all over the country, exhibiting their work in the Eppink Gallery. The purpose of the exchange is to celebrate the technique of engraving in printmaking. The curators for this exchange are James Ehlers, Assistant Professor, Emporia State University ; Gerry Wubben, Associate Professor, McNeese State University; and Larry Schuh, McNeese State University.

5th Annual Valentine Invitational Scholarship Fundraiser
Closing Reception : 6-8 pm on Saturday, February 14
This exhibition will be held at the Emporia Arts Council (at 618 Mechanic Street), and will feature work for sale by different artists dealing with the theme of LOVE. ESU Art faculty will be invited to submit one work each and are encouraged to invite at least one outside person to submit work. Proceeds from this event will benefit our art students through scholarships.
April - May Annual ESU Juried Student Exhibition
Opening Reception : 5-7 pm on Monday, April 6
Student works selected by an outside juror will be on display for this exhibition. Annual student scholarships will be presented during the opening night reception.
April 1 - 30 The Salon des Refuses'
Opening Reception : 7-8 pm on Monday, April 6
ESU student works not selected by the juror of the student exhibition will be on display at the Emporia Arts Council for the month of April.
