4-Year College to Career Plan
Career Services has outlined a 4-Year College to Career Plan for ESU students. It will help guide you as you progress toward graduation. The Career Services staff is available to assist students who have questions or need additional guidance.
Whether you’re exploring majors or searching for information about your chosen field, this website will help you connect majors to careers. Learn about typical career areas and types of employers that hire people with each major, as well as strategies to make you a more marketable candidate.

Career Services partners with Handshake, the premier online career platform used by over 700 colleges and universities.
Handshake allows you to:
- Schedule appointments with staff online
- Take career tests and explore majors
- Submit your resume, CV or other documents for review
- Connect with employers, jobs, and internships
- Sign up for career events and on-campus interviews
- Apply for internships and full-time jobs
- Access resources such as sample resumes, CVs, grad school timelines and more
