TRANSFER STUDENT
We value you as a transfer student, whether you're from a community college or a four-year college or university. We want to make the transition to ESU easy for you! Our admissions counselors and transcript analyst can assist by taking a look at your transcripts and detailing transfer classes (even on the same day that you visit campus!).
It is important to know which credits will or will not transfer to ESU before you graduate, right? We think so too! That's why we offer online transfer guides detailing all ESU courses and how they transfer from any 2-year or 4-year college or university in Kansas. We also have an articulation agreement with every Community College in Kansas.
How do I apply, and what do I send?
- Fill out the application for admission (it's online or you can print it off)
- Pay the $30 application fee
- Have your official college transcripts sent to ESU
- For students who will transfer 23 or less credit hours to ESU, you will also need to send your official high school transcript and ACT score
How can I be admitted to ESU?
*If you've completed 24 or more transferable credit hours after high school with a 2.0, you're admitted unconditionally. If you have below a 2.0, you will be considered for admission through the 10% window.
*If you're under the age of 21 you'll need to meet one of the freshman admission requirements, as well as have a 2.0 on your transfer work. Feel free to contact your admissions counselor if you have any questions!
Or…
*If you don’t meet one of the above items, it’s important to apply early! You can be considered for Admission to ESU by the 10% Window Committee. ESU can admit up to 10% of the incoming class. For more information about the 10% window, contact Amy Jo Troyer, Admissions Counselor, at atroyer1@emporia.edu.
