WELCOME TO ESU!

My name is Stacey Braun and I am the Student Success Coordinator at Emporia State University. I am really excited you have chosen to attend Emporia State!

The Student Success Mentoring Program, Leadership Education and Development (LEAD), Residential Life, and the Center for Student Involvement have teamed up to make your first year of college the BEST year of college!

Being successful in college is all about challenging yourself academically and socially. The College Student Inventory is a tool we use to assist you in your first year. As part of our enrollment process, all first year students, and students transferring less than 31 credit hours to Emporia State, need to complete the College Student Inventory (CSI) before August 20, 2008.

The CSI is an online questionnaire designed to help US help YOU fulfill your college goals and make your college experience the best it can be! It takes about 30 minutes to complete and your answers are sent to us instantly.

You will receive the College Student Inventory information in July, so watch for the postcard above in your mail. It will contain information about taking the inventory as well as your individual username and password.

STUDENT RESOURCE GUIDE

The Student Resource Guide was developed to assist students in transitioning successfully to Emporia State University.  The guide includes information on study strategies, becoming involved on campus, figuring grade point average, and important contact numbers at ESU; as well as many other topics/resources.

The information is easy to understand and includes a section on most pages suggesting what students can do on their own to be successful.
