- Why do I need an account at Lyon County State Bank?
ESU and Lyon County State Bank have partnered in a program to provide you with an easy way to receive your financial aid and have convenient banking services. All you have to do is establish your account at Lyon County State Bank. When your financial aid is ready to be disbursed, ESU will direct deposit your funds into your Lyon County State Bank account. It can be easily accessed with your Hornet card at any ATM, by check or at any of Lyon County State Bank's four branches in Emporia.
- How much will the account cost me?
Nothing. It is a free checking account.
- What benefits are included with this account?
No minimum balance is required. Your first box of wallet style checks are provided at no charge. Online banking, electronic statements and electronic bill-pay are all available at no charge.
- So how do I get my new LCSB account?
On your SWARM date, you will have an opportunity to open your checking account. Under Federal law all financial institutions are required to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person opening an account. What this MEANS is that LCSB is going to ask for the following things:
- Your name
- Address
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number
- Other information to identify YOU (be sure to bring your driver's license)
- How can I make my Hornet card (ESU ID card) work in an ATM?
Bring your card to any LCSB branch. Your card will be attached to your account and you will choose a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to be used in the ATM.
- How do I sign up for Online Banking?
When you open your account at SWARM, bank personnel will work with you at a computer terminal to set up your online banking and electronic statements.
- How will I know that my financial aid is in my account?
You can check your balance online, do a balance inquiry at an ATM or contact any Lyon County State Bank branch for a balance. (toll-free 877-448-5272)
