FIRST-TIME FRESHMAN
Presidential Academic Awards for Freshmen
Presidential Academic Awards (PAA) are available to first-time freshmen who will attend ESU full time (successfully complete 12+ credit hours with at least a 2.5 GPA each semester) during the 2007-2008 academic year. Eligibility for these awards is based on official ACT composite scores or official HS transcript received by ESU. Awards may be renewed for three additional years. The renewal amount for all Presidential Academic Awards is determined by the recipient’s cumulative GPA as follows: $1,200 with a 3.75-4.0 GPA, $1,000 with a 3.5-3.74 GPA, and $500 with a 3.25-3.49 GPA. Students must complete 12 or more credit hours per semester to be eligible for awards.
