Did you know that the town of Emporia has activities going on all the time too?

Emporia is a very active community that has activities going on outside of just the ESU campus life. Emporia is the national founding city of Veteran’s Day and we have a whole week of celebration in November to honor Veteran’s Day. Emporia also has an Art’s Council, Holiday Parades, an annual “Fiesta”, the National Register for Historic Sites, National Teacher’s Hall of Fame, the Flint Hills Rodeo, the historic Granada Theatre, and an event called Live in the Lot, where local bands perform for the community!) Check out our local Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau for the ACES Community Calendar of Events at http://www.emporiakschamber.org/.
