Did you know that it doesn’t cost you a cent to attend home athletic events?

Emporia State’s athletic program is NCAA Division II, and competes in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association - regarded nationwide as one of the premier athletic conferences. All home athletic events are free for our students to attend, and more often than not, there is an athletic event going on many days during the week. We don’t just tell you that attending ESU athletic events is a great way to cheer on your favorite Hornet teams while supporting your fellow student athletes -we practice what we preach! For the 2004 season, the Lady Hornet’s Basketball team was the #1 Division II team in the nation for fan attendance! Have you played a high-school sport before? Think about how fun it would have been if no one came to watch you. We thought you’d see it our way – and we’ll see you at the games!
