Linsey Boyd, Admissions Counselor

Hello! My name is Linsey Boyd and I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska. In May 2006, I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Business with a major in Management. Once I graduated, I took a job as an Admissions Counselor here at ESU!

My official title at ESU is: Admissions Counselor

Yes, I did things on campus! I was involved in: Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, Fall Career Fair Planning Committee, School of Business Assessment Committee, Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Phi Eta Sigma

I chose Emporia State because: of the great academic programs, the small class sizes, and the hundreds of opportunities to become involved on campus.

If you’re on campus, you’ve just got to see: The Sunken Garden-it is beautiful!

My top three CD’s of all time are (in order):
Garth Brooks-Double Live, Matchbox 20-Yourself or Someone Like you, Lonestar-Lonely Grill

By far… the coolest person I met at ESU was: My Fiancé (gag me, I know)

New students should never leave home without: their favorite hoodie, it is a must have for early morning walks to class.

My favorite class at ESU was: World Cultures to 1500. My professor was AMAZING! She was so passionate about world history that class was always an adventure.

If you saw me on TV, you’d probably be watching:  America’s Funniest Home Videos-I have actually mailed in a tape. Sadly, it did not make the show.

As I walked across the stage at graduation, I thought to myself:  WOW, I can’t believe college is already over.

If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be: Pizza!

The quote I love the most is: Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. EXPLORE. DREAM. DISCOVER. --Mark Twain

If you had never read this, you wouldn't know that I: am a crazy cat lady!

If money were no object, my future plans would be to: Travel the world with my fiancé

The BEST part about my job is: I get to talk to awesome students everyday!
